For some people it will happen several times before they get the hang of things. A lot of people are so heart broken when they crash that they do not bother to slowly inspect the craft and the crash area. • Learn the winds - flying a remote control helicopter when there is a wind blowing is not such an easy affair in the beginning. The first thing that you want to do is determine how the wind is blowing. You will then have to decide whether you intend to fly with the wind or against it as they each require different maneuvering. You also need to learn how much power you will need. A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that when they are flying in the same direction as the wind they require less power but this is not true.
