Toys For Children

Children love toys. Toys are specifically designed with a child's development in mind. Toys for children are specifically aimed at helping a child to learn to their full potential whilst having fun at the same time.

As a child, I loved to play with my toys. I certainly could not wait until it was playtime because I knew that was when I could get my LEGOs out and start to explore my imagination and slip off into another world. Daydreaming was a very important part of my childhood. I would make believe that I was one of the knights in my LEGO set and that my job was to protect the castle. I absolutely loved to play with all of my toys but my LEGO set was certainly one of my favourites. I would always add new LEGO sets onto all of my Christmas lists which my mum and dad would send off to Santa. To be honest, I would always get new sets and absolutely adored the feeling I got when I unwrapped my Christmas presents and discovered a mixture of both presents I had put on my Christmas list and even a few surprises that I hadn't even thought of. Birthday presents were the same, at least one LEGO set which I would play with the most.

These days, now I am older and a dad myself I encourage my children to play with a wide range of different types of creative learning toys. They have played with my old LEGO sets and love them. Sometimes they like to draw, sometimes they paint, play with Play-Doh and their dolls. They love to play with all of their toys and games. Learning is certainly taking place during playtime and by simply interacting with your children whilst they are playing, you can help to inspire their imaginations, teach them about the toys that they are playing with and generally help them to learn more about the world. I bought some Memory Cards for my children which is basically just like a game of Snap that you would play with playing cards but with characters from their favourite TV shows. The cartoon characters are instantly recognisable which always helps to engage them with the Memory Cards. I tend to split their playtime between different types of toys and games. Using this technique I can rest assured that their interest levels are always high and they are never bored of playing with the same old toys again and again. They will always choose favourite toys and this is natural but it is always good to mix up the toys that they play with so that learning is holistic.
